Unfiltered Series: Miniso Cushion Puffs

In my hometown, Bucharest, this Japanese store called Miniso just opened. I decided to visit it, because I was really curious about what kind of stuff they sell there. They also have a section dedicated to makeup accessories. Since I’m a big fan of cushion foundations, I wanted to try different kind of puffs than the ones the foundations come with. Miniso sells sets of two puffs.

Shall we begin?

The set only comes in two colors: pink and blue, with the same design on puffs.

What I like:

✿ It’s in a shape of a teardrop. This makes it easier to apply the foundation in areas that are hard to reach such as around the nose.

✿ Blends well the foundation.

✿ That handle cushion puffs have, gives a good support.

✿ Soft on the skin.

What I don’t like:

✿ It absorbs a bit more of the product that I expected.

MINISO vs. MOONSHOT CUSHION PUFF

To have a better idea of how the foundation looks when applied on the face using this puff, I decided to apply it using two different sponges.

Top: foundation applied with Moonshot cushion puff; bottom: foundation applied with the Miniso cushion puff

Top: foundation applied with Moonshot cushion puff; bottom: foundation applied with the Miniso cushion puff

As you can see in the photos, there’s not a drastic difference in the way the foundation looks on the face.

FINAL THOUGHTS

These are a great replacement for my usual cushion puff. And they’re also affordable! I don’t know about you, but when I was my puffs, I don’t always manage to get out all the foundation so it’s better to buy a new sponge.
